We have spent a great afternoon at the Flemish Food Bash Oostduinkerke Beach a kind of Tomorrowland for Foodies. Food from chefs from all over the world, cocktails from well-known mixologists, body painted girls, barbers and tattoo artists and even a wellness for pigs (a little wink by a local pig farmer).
As you might have guessed this is not your traditional food gathering…..
The afternoon started with a lot of rain and wind and we had to find refuge amidst the chefs and their crew, not ideal but fun for chatting with everybody.
A lot of chefs are united here and after working for three hours they go and party themselves. As Vincent Florizoone who organized the Flemish Food Bash says: a party by chefs for chefs.
With our fork/knive/spoon in one around our neck we set out the check out the premises.

There were some great cocktails and beers to be tasted at this great event, unfortunately no wine for wine lovers such as yours truly.
But hey, one gin tonic was great to kick off the afternoon.
We stayed from ‘till 6 pm and ended with a chocolate dessert in the Callebout Lounge and a latte.
The party was only getting started, the sun just started to shine again, DJ was in place warming up the crowd so If you are in the neighborhood and in the mood for some good food and a party go and have a good time at the Flemish Food Bash.
