I had such a busy week that I didn’t even have the time to prepare a special Easter Menu.
I must admit that Easter isn’t such a big deal in our family. It is more a day for the kids with crazy egg and toy hunting in the garden, too much chocolate for one day and a lot of excitement when they hear the church bells and hurry into the garden to see what fell out of them before they fly back to Rome. We started by decorating the house for Easter: flowers, eggs and a real Easter Tree!
The weeks before they start questioning the abilities of the Easter Bunny and the “Bells from Rome” as we know them in our family on how to visit all children on one day. When will they pass over our house, will they find everything…and the excitement grows every day fueled by their friends and teachers stories about bells and bunnies.
Saturday I finally had the time to start thinking about what I was going to serve for the family Easter Brunch today.
I decided to keep it simple and enjoy some time with my kids and Mr Husband instead of spending all day grocery shopping and cooking.
Last night I prepared the dough for this great (gluten free) Easter Bunny brioches and we are also having eggs and bacon, a yellow smoothie to stay in the Easter yellow theme and fresh croissants from Domestic Bakery.
I also prepared a nice fruit salad and some waffles with cinnamon and caster sugar. Everything we need for a great Easter Brunch!
Next week we are going to visit Flanders Field Museum and we’ll be enjoying the Easter Parade in Disneyland Paris.
A dinner in Dôme Sur Mer is also planned and for the rest we will be busy with lots of this and that’s as always!
What are your plans for next week?
Anyway, just want to wish you all a very Happy Easter. Enjoy the peace and quality time with your loved ones and your friends!
