Christmas time is coming and those of you who know me, know that I like to fabricate home made Christmas gifts from time to time.
For the past couple of years I have been making these jars with all the ingredients for fabulous chocolate chip cookies. This year the jars are with a gluten free flour blend.
Home made cookies are always a nice hostess gift, as are granola bars, granola and so much more.
When UGG invited me for a workshop hosted by Princess Misia I was really quick to reply…
Not only was it organised by my favorite brand of footwear, but hosted by Marta a talented photographer, cook and blogger I admire a lot, and last but not least the subject…DIY Christmas gifts. How cool was this?
During the workshop at Nomad we prepared goodies such as granola, chocolate with superfoods, tea, flavored salt and olive oils with spices. All with really nice decorations and a nice and enjoyable company. A great night.
You’ll need some nice ribbons and gift cards, stickers or stamps to decorate your gift and off you go!
So what can you make?
-basic granola or quinoa granola
–sea salt with minced porcini mushrooms and thyme or with pink pepper
– a jar full of ingredients for chocolate chip cookies – layer the ingredients and write your instructions on the gift tag – you can also just bake the cookies and wrap them in a nice paper or bag.
– spiced oils – for example you just put some rosemary or thyme and garlic in a little bottle and fill it up with olive oil – let it rest for 2 weeks
– granola bars packed with some white chocolate powder or chai tea latte powder – a delicious combination. Just put a little bag with the powder next to the granola bars and write your instructions on the gift tag. (recipe coming next week)
There is so much more you can make. If you have questions, don’t hesitate to send me a mail or leave a comment.
Thank you again to UGG Benelux and UPR for organising this workshop and thanks to Filip Desmet for the nice pictures of the workshop and a special thanks to Princess Misia some extra inspiration.
