Ho Ho Ho! What will be on your Christmas Menu this year?
I am always rather last minute with my party planning, same this year.
So what will be my yummie Christmas Menu this year?
An aperitif with a nice glass of bubbles or a refreshing gin tonic. I will be serving Laurent Perrier Pink Bubbles and the new Copperhead Black Batch.
As snack and appetizers I’ll serve:
- roasted nuts with rosemary and garlic
- a little glass of avocado soup with oven dried parma ham
- home made hummus
- oysters dressed with ginger, red pepper and a drop of wine vinegar
Then for starters scallops with cauliflower. Such a simple, light but yummie combo. Find the recipe here.
The main course will be a fine piece of meat from Steak A Manger with ratte potatoes and shiitakes inspired by a recipe of Seppe Nobels from Graanmarkt 13. Check out the recipe and some more information here.
Then for the grand finale….pavlova’s for dessert.
You can then finish off with some cookies, chocolates and coffee.
Tip: prepare your cookies now and freeze them so you can use them on Christmas day. Oatmeal cookies are perfect for freezing.
